Jerry Sargent is President of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts and National Head of Middle Market and Not-For-Profit Banking. He co-chairs the bank’s Board of Advisors and chairs the bank’s New England Charitable Giving Board.
Citizens Bank has been a member of the Greater Boston Chamber since 1930. Through decades of change at both institutions, Citizens and the Chamber remain close partners dedicated to making businesses, individuals, and the entire region thrive.
“Citizens values our membership and long history with the Chamber,” says Jerry Sargent, Massachusetts president of Citizens Bank. “Belonging to the Chamber is essential to being part of the Greater Boston business community.”
Citizens Bank is one of the nation’s oldest and largest financial institutions. Citizens offers a broad range of retail and commercial banking products and services to individuals, small businesses, middle-market companies, large corporations and institutions. The bank’s Citizens Helping Citizens program also addresses four key areas: fighting hunger, providing shelter, teaching money management and strengthening communities.
Today Jerry serves on the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Membership Committee. “I believe in the Chamber’s mission of making Greater Boston the best place to start and grow a business.”
Citizens’ employees participate in the Chamber’s events, the Women’s Network, and leadership development programs. Citizens is also the sole sponsor of the Chamber’s Young Professionals Network, which has grown to more than 2,500 members in just a year-and-a-half. “Citizens shares the Chamber’s commitment to cultivating the next generation of leaders of the business community through the Young Professionals Network. Our partnership will ensure that we can attract, develop and retain our talented young workforce in the Greater Boston region."
Citizens Bank and the Chamber look forward to many more years of contributing to the growth and success of Greater Boston.
