Future of Boston: Hospitality and Tourism

Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

As we enter the season known for vacation and relaxation across Massachusetts, the future of the hospitality and tourism industry remains uncertain. The industry is the third-largest employer in Massachusetts, and has been one of the hardest hit during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there is a resounding sense of camaraderie and mutual support among business owners and employees, looking for ways to ensure the safety of their patrons. In this panel discussion, leaders from both national and local arenas will share trends within their sectors and an outlook on the future of their businesses.

This program is part of the Chamber’s “Future of Boston” series, where we hear from regional leaders as they lead their companies through the pandemic and into the future. Is the future of work here? How can various industries and communities adjust and thrive? And, the question on everyone’s minds: When and how do we begin transitioning forward to commuting, working, and socializing?
