  • Senior Grants Manager

    The Senior Grants Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation fundraising efforts. They will employ critical thinking, sales, and research skills in their day-to-day work. The Senior Grants Manager will report to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Policy, and will collaborate with the programs, economic inclusion, policy, and finance teams. A key priority for this role will be to generate grant funding from various sources, such as private, community, and family foundations, as well as from government and other private sources. This person will need to think outside the box and proactively seek out opportunities that parallel the Foundation’s strategic goals. Strong sales leadership and persuasive selling skills are a requirement for this position.

  • Director, Policy & Research

  • Member Services Coordinator

    Position Overview:

    The Member Services Coordinator will work as a relationship manager to engage the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce’s members in various membership related initiatives. They will also support the overall retention and engagement efforts of the organization. This position was designed for someone with a strong background in client relationship management, and knowledge of the region’s business landscape. As the position contains a broad range of responsibilities, it requires an individual who is energetic, creative, strategic, and able to seamlessly move between various tasks throughout the day.

    In this role, the Member Services Coordinator will participate in the Chamber’s programs and events with high-profile representatives in the Boston business community. They will be responsible for managing relationships with members as assigned, as well as assisting in the daily operations of member retention. They will manage the department inbox and respond to inquiries, be responsible for database upkeep, and prepare materials for member meetings and ad hoc projects, as necessary. They will support the Chamber’s engagement initiatives to ensure members are utilizing their benefits, and that retention goals are being met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage Member services Email inbox and respond to all inquiries
    • Attend all Chamber events and committee meetings, and support Chamber staff as needed
    • Serve as a relationship lead for assigned corporate member accounts
    • Implement membership lifecycle to support engagement and retention efforts (includes phone calls, emails, invitation to events, and meetings)
    • Implement strategies to engage and retain members
    • Track and analyze member involvement and identify at-risk accounts
    • Work directly with the senior management team to assist with the preparation and materials for member-facing meetings
    • Produce (create, proofread, edit) department materials
    • Execute ongoing communications and emails to members
    • Continually monitor and maintain database records
    • Maintain updated Standard Operating Procedures for department
    • Exhibit deep understanding of Greater Boston business community
    • Support Member Services team as needed
    • Assist with other duties as assigned

    Education/Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in customer service or member management
    • High attention to detail and superior time management skills
    • Experience with membership databases and reporting preferred
    • Extensive experience using MS Office Suite and other business software tools
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive independently.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with both peers in a team, as well as with senior level executives
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and complete projects across potentially competing objectives and timelines
    • Strong business ethics and values

    Salary: Starts at $55,000
