Every year since 1983, the Greater Boston Chamber inducts one or more accomplished citizens into the Academy of Distinguished Bostonians at its Annual Meeting & Dinner. At the 101st Annual Meeting & Dinner on May 4, the Chamber
honored three accomplished leaders for their significant contributions
to the Greater Boston community.
One
of this year's honorees is Regina Pisa. Watch her profile
below:
Regina M. Pisa is the chairman and managing
partner of Goodwin Procter LLP, one of the top 50 law firms in the country,
serving clients from locations in the United States, Europe and Asia. She
has led the firm for over 12 years, the first woman to lead an AmLaw 100 law
firm in the United States and one of the youngest to take the helm at the
time of her appointment. In a recent survey conducted by The American
Lawyer, Ms. Pisa was recognized by her peers as one of the two most highly
respected law firm leaders in the country.
Under her leadership, Goodwin Procter
experienced unprecedented growth, emerging as the national law firm and

Boston to over 900 lawyers serving clients from locations on the East and
West Coasts and abroad, including in New York, Washington, DC, San
Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, San Diego, London and Hong Kong.
Today, Goodwin Procter is recognized nationally as a leader in its service
to the technology and life sciences, private equity, financial services and
real estate capital markets industries, and has received accolades for its
outstanding client service, commitment to innovation, ongoing support of the
legal profession, community outreach and pro bono work and myriad diversity
efforts.
In addition to her management responsibilities,
Ms. Pisa continues to practice law, advising clients in the financial
services industry and representing well-known banks and investment
companies. Her merger and acquisition work with financial institutions has
earned her and the firm national recognition and a place among the nation’s
top bank M&A practices. Ms. Pisa is listed in Best Lawyers in America, as
well as Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. In recognition
of her work in support of the legal profession, she was elected a member of
The American Law Institute. She also serves as co-chair of the Law Firm Pro
