Monthly Jobs Update

On
September 20, 2007 the Chamber officially launched its
Massachusetts Jobs Update, an economic snapshot highlighting
statewide and regional job trends and benchmarking our progress
toward closing the jobs gap that persists in the Commonwealth.
This
update is meant to serve as a resource for elected and appointed
officials across the state, and will also feature jobs trends
for a specific leading industry that is helping to drive our
state’s economic engine.
Based
on Current Employment Statistics (CES) produced each month by
the Executive Office of Labor & Workforce Development, the
Chamber’s Massachusetts Jobs Update will be released on the same
day that state and regional CES data becomes available for the
preceding month.
We
hope you find these updates both useful and informative as we
work collectively and collaboratively to grow the Massachusetts
economy and return to our pre-recession jobs peak.
