Always a high point of the Chamber’s program calendar, the 101st edition of the Annual Meeting & Dinner was among the largest gatherings of business leaders in Greater Boston, with more than 1,400 members of the business community in attendance.

As part of this memorable evening, special Keynote Speaker Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger, III shared his inspiring story and talked about the meaning of leadership. Sullenberger is the “Miracle on the Hudson” pilot who landed US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River on January 15, 2009, saving the lives of 155 people. He and his crew have won international acclaim for their heroic actions, including the passage of a Congressional resolution recognizing their bravery.

Also during this year's program, a new chair of the Chamber was inaugurated to serve a two-year term. Bank of America Massachusetts president Robert Gallery was unanimously chosen by the Chamber's Executive & Nominating Committees to serve as the next chair. His outstanding leadership in the Greater Boston community makes him a natural fit to succeed Gloria Larson, the current chair of the Chamber and president of Bentley University.

Another highlight of the program was the induction of three accomplished citizens into the Academy of Distinguished Bostonians. This year the Chamber honored Henri Termeer, chairman and chief executive officer of Genzyme Corporation; Regina Pisa, chairman and managing partner at Goodwin Procter LLP; and Fletcher "Flash" Wiley, attorney of counsel at Bingham McCutchen LLP & principal at PRWT Services, Inc.

Attendees were also treated to a special musical performance by Dr. Ronan Tynan.

The Chamber would like to thank all of our sponsors for the 101st Annual Meeting & Dinner.
