New Chair of the Chamber
Dear Chamber Member:
At this morning’s meeting of the Executive Committee, Bentley College President Gloria Larson was unanimously elected chair of the Chamber. We are delighted by this decision, and wanted to share the news with our membership before the official announcement is issued.
Through her many years of service in the public and private sectors, Gloria has earned a reputation as a dedicated and bi-partisan leader. She was elected to the presidency of
Bentley
College
in July of 2007 after serving as co-chair of the Government Strategies Group at Foley Hoag. Gloria previously served as Secretary of Economic Affairs under Governor Weld. Prior to her state service, she managed business and regulatory issues at the federal level as a senior official with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Gloria’s outstanding track record as an effective bridge-builder, coupled with her vision for the future, make her one of Greater Boston’s most respected leaders. We are confident that Gloria’s leadership will be an important asset as we work to strengthen collaboration among business, government, and academia. Her two-year term will begin on May 14, when she is inaugurated at the Chamber’s 99th Annual Meeting.
Please join us in congratulating Gloria Larson.
