Monica is currently a Commercial Real Estate
Broker at Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., a global
commercial real estate firm. Monica is a board
member of The Partnership, Inc. and The
Crittendon Women’s Union, and a planning
committee member of The One Family Campaign.
When she is not busy with family and work, she
enjoys praying, self reflection, mentoring,
organizing events, meeting and connecting with
new people, and reading.
PG: What is the coolest part of your job?
MC: Problem solving and meeting so many
amazing people.
PG: What is your favorite thing about
working in Boston?
MC: Walking the city and connecting with
people.
PG: If you could have any job in Boston,
other than your own, what would it be and why?
MC: President of The Efficacy Institute.
Their goal is to break the cycle of
underdevelopment that afflicts too many children
(and adults).
PG: Favorite place to take a client for
lunch?
MC: Sorriso Boston at 107 South Street. It
has a great atmosphere and delicious food.
PG: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
MC: Ranking as one of the top 5 Brokers in
Boston and having made a significant difference
in the lives of others, particularly children
and homeless women (and their children) through
my community involvement.
PG: What’s your favorite place to relax
after a long day/week?
MC: On my deck or at the spa.
PG: What’s the best piece of career advice
you have ever received?
MC: Stay focused and have integrity.
PG: Best place for an after work drink?
MC: Rocca in the South End.
PG: Who do you admire in the business world?
MC: Earl Graves, president & CEO of Black
Enterprise, and Indra Nooyi, CEO of PepsiCo.
PG: How can young professionals expand their
networks and increase their impact in Boston?
MC: Show up, introduce yourself, get
involved and stay connected.
PG: What reading material is on your
nightstand?
MC: The Bible,
The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas
Stanley & William Danko, and
A Season of Life by Jeffrey Marx.
PG: Tell us something we should know about
you.
MC: I am extremely resourceful and love
considerate people.
